Why Is It....?
Why is that we wait until certain times each year to celebrate important people in our lives?
Think about it... we set aside a day (emphasis on "a") in March or April to celebrate Easter (the Resurrection of our Savior). And another day in May and June for Mother's Day and Father's Day. Then we wait until November to really reflect and give thanks on Thanksgiving Day. And finally, we wait till December to celebrate Christmas in honor of our Savior's birth. In between, we have birthdays and other special days that give us personal meaning.
But why is it that we aren't acknowledging and giving thanks EVERYDAY for the blessing of special people in our lives? We should never take for granted what is within our reach.
Just something to reflect on!
